Skyline Fellowship, sbc was originally known as Calvary Baptist Chapel which 45 charter members began in July of 1966. In 1967 the church obtained the property on the southeast corner of Crismon and University where Skyline Fellowship, sbc still exists today. In 1968 the first building was erected. In 1981-82 the second building with eight rooms was completed. This second building was built DEBT FREE with the members paying half and the other half was a grant from Oldham Little Church Foundation of Houston, Texas. In 1986 planning began for the construction of a new auditorium. January 1987 ground was broken for the new auditorium. 1999 was a year of great blessing when the church officially became DEBT FREE by paying off the bond program SIX years early.

Nine pastors and interim pastors have served the congregation prior to the present pastor, Derek Boyd, who began his ministry in June of 2007.

Skyline Fellowship, SBC is a Bible teaching, loving family, seeking after God’s will. Our desire is to be led by God to spread the Gospel of Jesus to this community. With the new addition to our facilities, we have hopes of ministries seven days per week.

August 2009 began a new form of outreach for Skyline with the opportunity of having a charter school on campus.  Leading Edge Academy East Mesa a K-6 charter school is now utilizing our new education space every day.  With this new addition to our campus comes many responsibilities and areas of ministry.  All which we are eager to see how the Lord will work in each of them.
